Petitioner is claiming change of name in the Aadhaar Card on the basis of declaration made in the affidavit as well as paper publication etc. Grievance is that notwithstanding such steps taken, the second respondent has not accorded consideration to petitioner's claim for correction in the name in the Aadhaar Card. Without entering into merits of the petitioner's claim, we permit the petitioner to approach the second respondent, annexing all relevant material in support of his claim, which shall be accorded consideration by the second respondent, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order. In the event claim of petitioner is not accepted, a specific order would be passed detailing the reasons for non-acceptance of such application.
