The instant petition has been filed challenging show cause notice dated 27.2.2025 issued by Assistant Engineer, Provincial Divisional, Public Works Department, Varanasi to the petitioner directing him to remove illegal constructions made over a public road within a week, failing which, criminal prosecution under the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984 would be lodged against him. 2. Counsel for the petitioner after making brief submissions does not press the writ petition and reserves right in favour of the petitioner to file fresh petition or avail other remedies as may be advised. 3.
