PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following order: This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners herein/A2 & A3 under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to quash the proceedings in Crl.M.P.No.905 of 2023 on the file of the Court of the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Kaikalur. 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 2 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the only request of the petitioners is to direct the learned Magistrate to dispose Crl.M.P.No.905 of 2023 as expeditiously as possible, as the case is pending for the last two years without any progress. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the considered opinion that the present Criminal Petition can be disposed of at the stage of admission itself, without going into the merits of the case, with a direction to the trial Court to dispose of Crl.M.P.No.905 of 2023 on the file of the Court of the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Kaikalur as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order. 5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. As a sequel, interlocutory applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
