For Petitioner : Mr.M.Dharai Dharan For Respondents : Mr.T.Arunkumar Additional Government Pleader for R1 to R6 ***** O R D E R [Made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.,] This writ petition has been instituted to consider the representation https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.43576 of 2025 Page Nos.3/6 given by the petitioner seeking a direction to respondents 4 to 6 to remove the encroachments made by the unknown persons in Survey Nos.57/6 and 57/3 measuring 40 cents, classified as Grama Natham land in Kachchadi Mangalam Village, Chengalpattu District. 2. With reference to the relief sought for in the writ petition, the Tahsildar, Chengalpattu has conducted a survey and verified the revenue records. The status report filed by the Tahsildar would show that the Grama Natham lands identified were assigned in favour of the landless poor persons in accordance with the terms stipulated in the Revenue Standing Order. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even patta has been granted to ineligible persons. If so, the petitioner may file an appropriate petition for cancellation of patta along with documents, if any. This Court cannot conduct a roving enquiry regarding the eligibility of a person for securing free house site patta under the Government welfare schemes. However, in respect of the subject property, the authorities have already granted free Grama Natham patta to landless poor persons. Therefore, no adjudication is required in this writ petition.
