The Court made the following ORAL ORDER:
Sri Abdul Matheen, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of Sri V.V. Satish, learned Standing Counsel for APEPDCL appearing for Respondent Nos.2 & 3 is present.
2. None appeared for the Writ Petitioner on 10.07.2025 and 29.07.2025.
3. Today also none appeared on behalf of the Writ Petitioner.
4. This matter is of the year 2013 and, therefore, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by keeping it pending on the file of this Court inasmuch as the Writ Petitioner has not evinced any interest in prosecuting this Writ Petition.
5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed for Non-prosecution. No order as to costs.
6. However, there shall be a direction to the Registry to preserve the record for a period of twelve (12) weeks from today in order to enable the parties to file an appropriate Application for Restoration, if the Writ Petitioner is of the opinion that the cause of action still survives.
7. If such Application is not filed within the fixed time, the Registry is at liberty to destroy the record four (04) weeks after the expiry of the said twelve (12) weeks period as per the procedure.
8. Interlocutory Applications, if any, stand closed in terms of this order.
