ORAL ORDER
In this writ petition, the petitioner is assailing the letter dated 17.07.2023, issued by the respondent No.2 - Tahasildar, Nelamangala, to the jurisdictional Inspector of Police, Nelamangala Rural Police Station, Nelamangala.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.
3. Having taken note of the submissions made by the
learned counsel appearing for the parties, and on careful examination of the letter dated 17.07.2023 at Annexure-F, would indicate that, the respondent No.2 - Tahasildar has
directed the Police Inspector to enquire with regard to the nature of the land as well as to identify in whose possession the land in question.

4. Taking note of the aspects on record, there is no jurisdiction for the respondent No.2 - Tahasildar to direct the Police Authorities to make an enquiry with regard to the possession of the land in question.
5. In that view of the matter, I find force in the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.
6. In the result, the writ petition is allowed.
7. The impugned letter dated *17.07.2023 at Annexure-F is hereby quashed.
8. It is open for the parties to settle their civil dispute, if any, in accordance with law.
