ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:
“.... to issue any writ or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondents in not granting permission for installing a traditional mic/sound system for performance of 'Kollatam' during the Dussehra festival celebrations in Peddakandlagunta Village, Kondapi Mandal, Prakasam District, scheduled from 01.10.2025 to 02.10.2025 despite the application dated 20.09.2025 made by the petitioner, as

illegal, arbitrary, and violative of Article 19 and 21 of the Constitution of India, Consequently to direct the respondents to grant permission for installing and using traditional mic/sound system for performance of 'Kollatam' during the Dussehra festival celebrations in Peddakandlagunta Village, Kondapi Mandal Prakasam District, scheduled from 01.10.2025 to 02.10.2025, pursuant to application of the petitioner dated 20.09.2025.”
2. Heard Sri V.Vinod K Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that they want to celebrate “Kollatam” on the occasion of Dusssehra and they have submitted a representation to the police seeking permission for mike which is not DJ.
4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is
disposed of. However, the police are directed to look into the representation submitted by the petitioner and take an appropriate decision over the matter, in accordance with the governing rules and law, on or before 27.09.2025 by 5:00 p.m. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
