Mr. S.Dey, learned counsel for the respondents submits that the question before the respondents is as to whether the gratuity amount will be borne by the State Government as promised, or whether the District Council respondents themselves will have to fulfil the payment. 2. It is noted that the sanction for the gratuity amount has been made since 13-10-2023 for an amount of ₹14,70,200/- (Rupees fourteen lakhs, seventy thousand, two hundred) only. It is therefore expected that notwithstanding any other circumstances, as long delay has been caused, the respondents are to pay the gratuity amount within a period of three months from today. 3.
