Joshi, learned Brief Holder for the State. 3. The corpus and respondent no.3 are present before the Court. On interaction, the corpus would submit that she had willingly joined the company of respondent no.3 and that both of them have also made an application for registering their marriage and that the application has been made about twenty days ago, and once the registration is completed, the marriage formalities would be completed; that there is no coercion, threat or inducement on the part of respondent no.3, and; that she left home as the petitioner did not agree to the marriage proposal with respondent no.3 and made every effort to convince the corpus not to leave the house. 4. Be that as it may, the fact that the corpus is a major not being in dispute, the fact that the corpus and respondent no.3 are of marriageable age as per the local laws not being in dispute and the fact that the corpus is willingly residing with respondent no.3 not being in dispute, the instant petition, in our opinion, is misconceived. 5. Be that as it may, we have advised the corpus to interact with the petitioner, who is none other than the father and assuagehis feelings. Respondent no.3 may also put in his efforts to convince the petitioner about their marriage. 6. It is needless to say that consent of the petitioner is not mandatory, as the corpus and respondent no.3 are major and are at liberty to choose their life partners. 7. The instant petition stands disposed of. 8. The concerned/ jurisdictional SHO shall also call the petitioner and the parties, if possible, and counsel the parties. 9.
