2. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the matter is heard at this stage.
3. Petitioner is serving as District Employment Officer in Keylong, District Lahul & Spiti, H.P. The case set up by him is that he had previously served for nine years in tribal area. In the present station also, he has served two winters and three summers w.e.f. 19.10.2023. On completion of requisite tenure at present station which is also a tribal area and being faced with medical problems, he made a representation 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes

on 10.10.2025 (Annexure P-3) to respondent No.1 seeking transfer to soft area of his preference. The petitioner’s grievance is that his representation has still not been considered and decided.

Looking to the grievance of the petitioner that he has rendered not only requisite service at the present place of posting which falls in tribal area but had rendered service in tribal area previously also and in view of medical problems allegedly faced by him, he preferred representation which till date is stated to be lying unattended, this writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.1/competent authority to consider and decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioner in accordance with law keeping in view the petitioner’s assertion that he had rendered many years of service in tribal area. The representation be decided within a period of three weeks from today. The decision so arrived at shall also be communicated to the petitioner. The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any. Jyotsna Rewal Dua Judge 24th November, 2025(yogesh)
