The petitioner has filed this petition seeking for the following relief(s):- “10.1) That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities for grant of compassionate appointment to the petitioner in the respondent department in lieu of his father late Budhram, who dies on 26.10.2000 during the service period. 10.2) That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief, as it may deem fit and appropriate.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the father of the petitioner namely, Budhram, who was working as a Gangman under the respondents, passed away on 26.10.2000. He would further submit that an application for the compassionate appointment was moved by the petitioner on 20.6.2018, and the same has not yet been considered by the respondent authorities. He would pray that a direction may be issued to respondents No.4 & 5 to decide on the pending application. 3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the State would submit that the petitioner moved the application claiming compassionate 3 appointment after 8-9 months and according to policy, he is not entitled. 4. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents present on the record. 5. Taking into consideration the fact that the claim of the petitioner has not yet been considered, respondents No.4 & 5 are directed to take an appropriate decision strictly in accordance with law on the application moved by the petitioner for the compassionate appointment. The authorities are directed to pass an appropriate order, preferably within a period of 90 days. 6. With the aforesaid observation(s), the petition is disposed of.
