GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction declaring action of the 5th respondent in repeatedly sending the constables to the petitioners house, pressurizing him to join in Telugu Desam Party and threatening the petitioner that he will be implicated in NDPS cases as illegal, arbitrary, one without jurisdiction and violation of Article, 21 of Constitution of India and 2 consequently direct the 5th respondent not to send the constables to the petitioners house for pressurize the petitioner to join in Telugu Desam Party by threatening the petitioner that he will be implicated in NDPS case.” 2. Heard Sri C.Subodh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the police are calling the petitioner to the police station through constable and insisting him to change his political party. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home seeks time to get instructions in the matter. 5. Considering the submission made, it is apposite to dispose of the writ petition directing the respondent-police not to interfere in the liberty of the petitioner. However, it does not preclude the police to proceed with the matter in case any crime is registered by this date. The police are further directed to follow due process of law to secure the presence of the petitioner in case his presence is required. 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
