Neutral Citation No. (2025:JHHC:30958) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 5426 of 2025 Ahshan Ansari @ Ahsan Ansari, aged about 29 years, S/o of Mubarak Ansari, resident of village- Bhuswa, P.O.- Tilra, P.S.- Ichak, District- Hazaribag. … Petitioner - Versus - The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party ------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Gautam Kumar Pandey, Advocate For the State : Mr. Nawin Kr. Singh, A.P.P. For the Informant : Mr. Mohammad Asghar, Advocate --- 04/07.10.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Ichak P.S. Case No. 187 of 2023, corresponding to G.R. No. 246 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 304(B)/34 of the I.P.C., pending in the court of Miss Nikhat Ayesha, learned J.M., 1st Class, Hazaribagh. Bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by a Co- ordinate Bench of this Court vide B.A. No.6791 of 2024 by order dated 14.08.2024. The petitioner happens to be the husband of the deceased, who died due to asphyxia because of hanging in her matrimonial home. There is allegation that she was tortured to enforce the demand of dowry. Stage of trial earlier called for from the court concerned, has been received. It appears that charge has been framed in this case on 09.09.2024. It further appears that out of 7 charge sheeted witnesses, 4 have already been examined. The learned trial court has reported that the trial is likely to be concluded within five months. In view of the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected. The learned trial court shall expedite the trial. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
