The Court: Learned counsel for the award-debtor seeks time to take instructions as to how the award-debtor will comply with the award dated 19th May, 2018, since the award has attained finality. Learned counsel for the award-debtor submits that no instructions have yet been received. The sorry state of affairs of the State is evident from the conduct of the award-debtor. This Court vide order dated 18th December, 2025 had attached the account of the award-debtor maintained with the Reserve Bank of India to the extent of Rs.1,31,49,014.00/- towards full and final satisfaction of the decretal dues. Since no response is forthcoming from the State as to how it will comply with award dated 19th May, 2018, which has attained finality, this 2 Court is constrained to direct the RBI to release the amount of Rs. 1,31,49,014.00/- lying with the account of the State of West Bengal to be released in favour of the award-holder within a period of two weeks towards satisfaction of the award/decretal dues.
