The writ petition is filed seeking writ of mandamus, praying the following relief:-
“……declaring the action of the Respondents in trying to relieve the petitioner at the age of 58 years is contrary to their own byelaws, illegal, arbitrary and ultra vires the Constitution of India consequently direct the Respondents to continue the petitioner upto 60 years of age in the interest of justice……”

The sum and substance in the present lis is that the petitioner is seeking continuation of his service in the respondents Corporation upto the superannuation age of 60 years. 3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Sri Venkat Rama Sarma, learned counsel representing the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as Sri G. Rathna Kumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents Corporation, jointly submit that consequent to the interim orders dated 18.05.2017 granted by this Court, petitioner services were extended

upto the superannuation age of 60 years and he retired from service on
31.05.2019. While making the said submission, they state that the cause in the lis does not survive for adjudication. 4. In view of the above submissions, the writ petition is closed, as no further adjudication is required in the lis. There shall be no order as to costs.
