Case No. 239 of 2025, for the offence registered under Section 27(b)(ii) of Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Sections 21(c)/22(c) of NDPS Act, 1985, pending in the court of learned Sessions Judge, Gumla. On 03.08.2025 at about 10:30 a.m., the house of the petitioner was raided and from there, 2950 bottles of wincerex cough syrup were recovered. Attention has been drawn towards purchase slip, which is Annexure-2 to this bail application. It was submitted that the son of the petitioner is holding a license for selling drugs. It was further submitted that son of the petitioner has purchased 6000 bottles of wincerex cough syrup on 18.07.2025 and the bottles of cough syrup were kept in the house of the petitioner, which were seized. Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail but does not dispute the aforesaid fact. In view of the aforesaid fact, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge, Gumla, in connection with Gumla P.S.
