Present Mr. P. Tomcha, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Y. Robert, learned Dy. GA on behalf of the State respondents. [2]
Mr. Serto T Kom, learned counsel for the applicant filed an application being MC(WP(C)) No. 197 of 2026 for impleadment of ‘Mr. Akhonpou @ Khangkhalung Thaimei’ as respondent no. 4 in WP(C) No. 836 of 2025. The main prayer in WP(C) No. 836 of 2025 is for disposal of the representation for declaration of the petitioner herein, as Chief of the Village. It is also submitted that another writ petition being WP(C) No. 1031 of 2025 filed by the petitioner for declaring the petitioner herein as Village Chief is also pending and the applicant herein is respondent no. 5. Since the issue in the two writ petitions are similar, it is submitted that the applicant may be impleaded as respondent no. 4 in WP(C) No. 836 of 2025. [3]

This Court has gone through the application i.e. MC(WP(C)) No. 197 of 2026 and since the applicant is already a party in WP(C) No. 1031 of 2025 with the same cause. Hence, the MC(WP(C)) No. 197 of 2026 is allowed and
disposed of by impleading the applicant i.e. Mr. Akhonpou @ Khangkhalung Thaimei as respondent no. 4 in WP(C) No. 836 of 2025. [5]
Registry is directed to do necessary incorporation in the paper book of the present case and petitioner is also directed to file amended memo of parties. [6]
Mr. P. Tomcha, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed MC(WP(C)) No. 428 of 2026 for amendment. He further submits that certain paras in the writ petition requires amendment as some words are inadvertently inserted and by doing so, the nature of the writ petition will not be changed. [7]

Mr. Y. Robert, learned Dy. GA accepts notice on behalf of respondent nos. 1, 2 & 3 and Mr. Serto T Kom, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of newly impleaded respondent no. 4. [9]
Mr. Serto T Kom, learned counsel for the respondent no. 4 prays for 2(two) weeks’ time for filing counter affidavit. Counter affidavit of the State respondents has already been on record. [10]
The learned counsel for the respondents prays for 2(two) weeks’ time for filing reply in MC(WP(C)) No. 428 of 2026. [11]
List this case along with WP(C) No. 1031 of 2025 on 28.08.2026.
