Counsel for the petitioners has relied upon a reference order of Punjab and Haryana High Court in CRWP No. 4660 of 2021, titled Yash Pal & Anr. vs. State of Haryana and Ors. decided on 09.09.2024, by the Division Bench, to point out that a view has been taken that even persons living together, where one of them is already married, protection can still be given keeping in view Article 21 of the Constitution of India. 2 2025:HHC:41617 3. Notice. Mr. Arsh Rattan, learned Deputy Advocate General, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3/State. 5. Keeping in view the fact that representation has already been given to the Superintendent of Police, Kangra, that there is a life threat as such to the petitioners, we dispose of the present petition with directions to the official-respondents No. 2 and 3 to look into the representation and take a separate call, if there is any threat perception to the petitioners or protection is to be granted, as alleged in the present petition. 6.
