Ms. Kamakshi Tarlokta and Mr. Mohit Sharma, learned counsel, appear and waive service of notice on behalf of the respondents in the respective petitions. 2. Petitioner(s) are serving in the respondent- Department and have prayed for direction to the respondents to grant them work charge status from the date they completed eight years of service with all incidental benefits. 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes 2 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner(s) submitted that the issue involved in the writ petitions and the relief prayed for by the petitioners is now covered by the decision rendered by the Hon’ble Apex Court in The State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. Versus Surajmani & Anr.2 Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner(s) would be satisfied in case the respondents are directed to examine their cases in light of the aforesaid judgment within a fixed time schedule. Learned Additional Advocate General is not averse to this prayer. 4. Having regard to the afore-submissions, but without examining the merits of the matters, these writs petitions are disposed of with direction to the respondents/competent authority to consider and decide the respective cases of the petitioner(s) in accordance with law laid down in Surajmani2 and pass appropriate order in accordance with law within six weeks from today. Copy of the order so passed, be also communicated to the petitioner(s). Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also to stand disposed of.
