Heard Mr. Bilal Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioners through V.C., Mr. Rakesh Joshi, learned Brief Holder for the State and Mr. Rajat Mittal, learned counsel for respondent no.3. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that petitioners strongly perceive a threat to their life and limb from the respondent nos. 3 to 6 and, in that view, they have approached this Court and pray for the relief of a direction to the concerned SHO to grant protection. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the mother of first petitioner (respondent no.3) would submit that she apprehends that the first petitioner might be put in duress and, hence, she seeks an opportunity to meet and talk with first petitioner. 4. In that view, the learned Deputy Advocate General for the State would submit that a direction be issued to the SHO, Police Station Vikasnagar, District Dehradun. 5. The aforesaid submission is placed on record. 6. The Criminal Writ Petition is disposed off. The SHO, Police Station Vikasnagar, District Dehradun is directed to assess the threat, if any, to the life and limb of the petitioners and provide such protection if there is a reasonable apprehension that there is a threat to the life and limb of the petitioners. The S.H.O. Police Station Vikasnagar, Dehradun shall call both the parties on Monday i.e. 10.03.2025 and permit the mother of the first petitioner to interact and talk with first petitioner. It is made clear that the mother of the first petitioner shall not attempt to get physical or attempt to threaten. In the event any such occurrence happens, 2025:UHC:1586-DB the SHO shall be at liberty to stop the interaction and send the first petitioner’s mother away. 7.
