Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Chhipadohar P.S. Case No. 16 of 2024 corresponding to G.R. No. 791 of 2025 for the offences registered under Sections 386, 387 of the Indian Penal Code, Sections 26(1-B)a, 25(1-AA), 26, 35 of the Arms Act and Section 17 of the C.L.A. Act and cognizance has been taken for the offences under Sections 386, 387 of the Indian Penal Code, Sections 25(1-A), 26(2), 35 of the Arms Act and Section 17 of the C.L.A. Act, pending in the Court of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Latehar.

On 30.06.2024 between 6.30 pm to 9.10 pm, Chhipadohar Police apprehended co-accused persons from a place near Bagh Tola More. On search, one loaded country-made pistol and cartridges were recovered from their possession. The accused persons had assembled there to enforce the demand of rangdari from businessmen.

It was submitted that the petitioner was not apprehended at the place of occurrence. It was further submitted that the name of the petitioner has come in the confession of co-accused. It was finally submitted that co-accused Lakhan Lohra, who has been apprehended at the spot, has been granted bail by this Court vide B.A. No. 712 of 2025 earlier.

In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Latehar, in connection with Chhipadohar P.S. Case No. 16 of 2024 corresponding to G.R. No. 791 of 2025.
