This contempt case is filed under sections 10 to 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, for his willful disobedience of the orders dated 05.08.2024 of this Court in W.P.No.14840 of 2024. 2. The case of the petitioner is briefly as follows: The petitioner, Managing Partner of M/s. HK Constructions, Nellore, filed W.P.No. 14840 of 2024 seeking payment of Rs. 73,02,070/- for work completed under Agreement No. 67SE/2022-23, dated 12.09.2022. On 05.08.2024, this Court directed the respondents to release the amount along with interest, as per the Division Bench judgment in W.A. No. 724 of 2021, within two months from the date of receipt of the order. The order was served on the respondents on 18.09.2024, and the stipulated period ended on 17.11.2024. However, the respondents have failed to comply and have not paid the amounts due to the petitioner till date. Hence, this Contempt Case. 3. The learned Assistant Government Pleader submitted that the total amount payable to the petitioner/writ petitioner in W.P. No. 14840 of 2024 had been fully paid as on today. 4. The written instructions in this regard were submitted Sri B. Dharani Kumar, learned counsel representing the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that an amount of Rs. 73,02,070/- only was paid after making the statutory deductions, whereas the petitioner is entitled to interest thereon as per the order in the writ petition. The learned counsel sought liberty to claim the interest amount as well before the concerned authority. 3 BSB, J C.C.No.4393 of 2024 5. The writ petitioner claimed Rs. 73,02,070/- and the writ petition was ordered for release of said amount along with interest as per the entitlement vide the judgment of the Division Bench of this High Court in the W.A.No. 724 of 2021 and batch of cases, dated 12.10.2023. 6. As such, the petitioner is given liberty to apply to the concerned authority for the amount of interest, if payable as per the judgment of the Division Bench of this High Court. Since the amount claimed by the writ petitioner was fully paid, the petition is closed with above said liberty.
