It is the case of the petitioner that the existing vehicle which is operating on Ext.P1 permit is more than 20 years old and therefore, the petitioner wants to replace the vehicle with a 2024 model vehicle. 2. Heard the learned government leader also. 3. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned government pleader and having regard to the limited nature of relief now sought for by the petitioner, this Writ Petition will stand disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext. P4 application filed by the petitioner for replacement of vehicle in accordance with the law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this judgment. The competent authority shall also consider Ext. P5 application filed by the petitioner for a temporary permit, if such application can be granted in accordance with the law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment. sd/- GOPINATH P.
