The petitioner-accused No.6 who is facing the charges for the offences punishable under Section 301 and 395 of IPC is before this Court. 4. The prosecution alleges that the petitioner-accused No.6 along with other accused entered into the house of respondent No.2 and threatened him with dire consequences and blackmailed the respondent No.2 that they would release the video if he did not pay ransom of Rs.10 Lakhs. The other accused has come before this Court in Crl.P.No.101653/2019, and in the said petition, the petitioners therein and the complainant filed an affidavit stating that they have amicable resolved the dispute among themselves, and the complainant has no objection for quashing the impugned proceedings. 5. In the light of the above, the continuation of the criminal proceedings against the petitioner-accused No.6 herein - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC-D:2257 CRL.P No. 100541 of 2025 will be an abuse of the process of law, in terms of the order passed in the aforesaid petition. 6. Accordingly, I pass the following: ORDER i) The petition is allowed. ii) The impugned proceedings in CC No.165/2020, on the file of the III Additional, Senior Civil and JMFC Judge, Hubballi, insofar it relates to the petitioner-accused No.6, is here by quashed.
