Heard the parties.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with C.I.D. P.S. Case No. 43 of 2024, for the offence registered under Sections 318(4), 316(5), 338, 336(3), 340(1), 340(2), 61(2) & 111(4) of the B.N.S., pending in the court of Sri Shyam Nandan Tiwari, learned A.J.C.-XVIII-cum-Special Judge, C.I.D., Ranchi.
On 30.09.2024, Rs. 9.00 crores were deposited in the NIIFT Branch of Canara Bank by the Jharkhand State Electricity Employees Master Trust. The aforesaid amount was transferred to another account, which was in the name of Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation Limited. This account was a forged account and was opened in connivance with the bank authorities and officials of Jharkhand State Electricity Employees Master Trust. The entire amount of Rs.9.00 crores were embezzled by the accused persons.
It was submitted that petitioner is neither an employee of Canara Bank nor the employee of Jharkhand State Electricity Employees Master Trust. It was further submitted that the name of the petitioner has transpired in the confession of co-accused. It was finally submitted that several similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court as well as by the Coordinate Bench of this Court.
In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Shyam Nandan Tiwari, learned A.J.C.-XVIII-cum-Special Judge, C.I.D., Ranchi, in connection with C.I.D. P.S. Case No. 43 of 2024.
