Heard the parties.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Hazaribag Sadar (Bara Bazar) P.S. Case No. 137 of 2025, for the offences registered under Sections 317(5)/3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023 and Sections 21(a), 21(b), 22(a), 22(b) of the NDPS Act, pending in the court of learned Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, NDPS, Hazaribag. On 12.05.2025, Hazaribag Sadar police apprehended the petitioner along with co-accused and on search, 22 grams of brown sugar was recovered from their joint possession. It was submitted that co-accused Md. Rizwan has been granted bail by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court. It was further submitted that quantum of seized brown sugar comes within the purview of intermediary quantity. It was finally submitted that petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, NDPS, Hazaribag, in connection with Hazaribag Sadar (Bara Bazar) P.S. Case No. 137 of 2025.
