THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING IN 'B' GROUP, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: HON'BLE MR JUSTICE B M SHYAM PRASAD - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:14236 WP No. 30030 of 2024 ORAL ORDER The petitioner is aggrieved by what he alleges as an 'unjustified issuance of Challans' under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the details of the Challans issued and the consideration of his objections with issue of such Challans is as per Annexure-A, a computer print out from the website of the Police Department. The petitioner contends that he has been issued with Challans for parking his two wheeler when there was no signboards against parking at such place. The respondent has filed its statement of objections. It is stated, on behalf of the respondents [as part of the statement of objections] upon receipt of the petitioner's objections the personnel of the Devanahalli Traffic Police Station have gone through the records and it is verified that the petitioner had parked his vehicle on Reva College Main Road and this constitutes violation of Regulation 15(2) of the - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC:14236 WP No. 30030 of 2024 Road Regulations, 1989. The respondent has also contended that if the petitioner is aggrieved, he must contest the challans before the jurisdictional Traffic Police.
