Through the medium of the instant contempt petition, the petitioner herein, has alleged non-compliance of judgment dated 28.04.2011 passed in SWP No. 809/2009, whereby the aforesaid writ petition was disposed of with the following directions:- “Viewed thus, I allow this writ petition and direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Follower/Constable in J&K Police Department on permanent basis on the basis of insurgency operational grounds from the date the private respondents were appointed with all consequential benefits. This exercise shall be completed by the respondents within a period of two months from the date a copy of this order is served upon them.” Learned counsel for the respondents has filed compliance report dated 21.11.2024, wherein it is stated that the case of the petitioner has been examined, consequent upon which, he has been held entitled to all the consequential benefits on the analogy of the private respondents, pursuant to which, a compliance order dated 18.11.2024, has been passed by the respondents Sr.No. 05 2 Mrs. Monika Kohli, learned senior AAG states that since the petitioner has been held titled to all the consequential benefits on the analogy of the private respondents. She undertakes to release the benefits and payable of the petitioner whichever he is entitled to in terms of the judgment dated 28.04.2011 read with order dated 18.11.2024 within a period of two months from the date of passing of this order. In view of the above, nothing survives in the present contempt petition for further adjudication. Accordingly, the present contempt proceedings are closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach this Court for revival of the contempt petition, if his grievances are not redressed by the respondents.
