Heard Sri Yash Padia, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents and Smt. Archana Singh, learned counsel for the respondent no.4. 2. Petitioner by means of present writ petition has prayed for the following reliefs:- "(i) Issue a writ, order or direction, in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent nos. 2 & 3 to take appropriate action ascertaining the security of the retail outlet namely M/S Siddharth Indian Oil situated at Village-Gambhira, Post-Karhal, District-Maipuri, Pin-205624. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction, in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 4 to reinstate the supplies of the petitioner forthwith and to supply the necessary infrastructure required for the dispensing of the petroleum products from the retail outlet." 3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he has established a petrol pump on land which was leased by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The lease in respect of the said land expired in the year 2024. It is alleged that respondent nos. 5 to 14, who are the owners of the land, are now interfering with the operation of the petrol pump and have caused damage to it. 4. The dispute essentially between the petitioner and respondent nos. 5 to 14, who are private parties. The interference alleged by the petitioner, including damage to the petrol pump, gives rise to causes of action that are appropriately addressed under civil as well as criminal law.
