The paragraph nos. 6, 7 and 8 of the affidavit filed by the respondent pursuant to order dated 27.01.2026, is extracted as under: “6. That the consular access has already been granted to the detainee after concerned efforts of the Embassy on 30.04.2025 and 08.07.2025. The consular access was again provided on 14.01.2026 and the Embassy officials met the detainee. The Mission also informed Ms. Sweety, wife of Samesh, that officials met him on 14.01.2026 to ascertain his well-being. 7. That Embassy has been continuously following up the matter with UAE authorities in compliance with the local laws. The subject case being a detention case under State security, was also discussed during the recently held India-UAE consular dialogue in November,2026. 8. That Mission has appointed a nodal officer in this matter as per the direction of this Hon’ble Court passed on 12.12.2025 and the office has been continuously updating and coordinating with the Petitioner, the wife of the detainee, regarding all developments in the matter.” This is a digitally signed order. It is, thus, seen that the detainee has been referred to public prosecution and the case is being examined by the prosecution. The consular access has already been granted to the detainee on 30.04.2025 and 08.07.2025, after the concerned efforts of the Embassy. On 14.01.2025, consular access was again provided and the Embassy officials also met and interacted with the detainee. The Mission also informed Ms. Sweety, wife of Mr. Samesh, that officials met him on 14.01.2026 to ascertain his well- being. The Mission has also appointed a Nodal Officer in furtherance of the order passed by this Court on 12.12.2025. 3. Accordingly, if the petitioner has any grievance, she shall be at liberty to approach the Nodal Officer. In case the petitioner does so, the grievance of the petitioner shall be mitigated without any undue delay. 4. In any case, the grievance of the petitioner is not fully mitigated she shall be at liberty to approach this Court by way of a fresh petition. 5.
