The petitioner No. 1 – Negena Begum by reference to her Aadhaar Card submits that she is major having retained age of 18 years 5 months back. Serial No. 75 2 WP(C) No. 1245/2025 CM No. 2973/2025 02. The petitioner No. 1 – Negena Begum belongs to a nomadic family and submits that she wants to take a call with respect to her matrimony on her own without any coercion and harassment bearing upon her by her parents and in that regard submits she is being coerced by her parents to marry against her own wishes. 03. Without going into the fact whether the petitioner No. 1 – Negena Begum has married the petitioner No. 2 – Mohd. Yousuf Gujjar, who is double her age, this Court directs the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ramban to ensure that the petitioner No. 1 – Negena Begum is not to subjected any kind of harassment and pressure by her parents and brothers, namely, Mohd. Rafiq, Shakeel Ahmed and Mohd. Ashraf to marry against her own wishes. 04. The present writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of along with connected application(s).
