2025:UHC:4088-DB SL. No. Date Office Notes, reports, orders or proceedings or directions and Registrar’s order with Signatures COURT’S OR JUDGE’S ORDERS WPSB 484/2015 Hon’ble Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J. Hon’ble Ashish Naithani, J. Mr. Arvind Vashistha, Senior Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Rajendra Dobhal, Senior Advocate, for the respondent no. 1 & 2. Ms. Anjali Bhargava, Advocate, for the respondent no. 3. Mr. Ajay Singh Bisht, Advocate, for the respondent no. 4. (2) Petitioner applied for the post of Assistant Professor pursuant to an advertisement issued by GB Pant University of Agriculture & Technology. According to petitioner, he possessed all essential qualifications for the post in question, however, he was not called for interview only on the ground that his application was not routed through proper channel. (3) This writ petition was filed in 2015 and the process of selection must have been completed long back and the person appointed pursuant to recommendation of the selection committee would also have put in more than eight years of service as of now. (4) Even otherwise also, advertisement clearly indicated that every candidate who is in employment has to get his application forwarded through his employer. This petitioner had not done, 2025:UHC:4088-DB although he had produced NOC from his existing employer. Petitioner himself is to blame for not routing his application through proper channel. An application may be rejected if it is not submitted through proper channel. Production of NOC issued by employer will not improve the case of the petitioner, when the requirement is that the application has to be forwarded by the existing employer. (5) Thus there is no scope for interference in the matter. Writ petition thus fails and is dismissed. (Ashish Naithani, J.)
