1. At the very outset, learned State counsel submits that relief sought for by the petitioners, in both the writ petitions, is counting of their service period as daily wager for the purpose of pension. He further submits that similar issue is pending consideration before the Hon’ble Apex Court in Special Leave Petition (CIVIL) Diary No. 9859 of 2023. He next submits that various other petitions for alike relief have been
disposed of, on the ground that, decision of writ petitions pending before the Hon’ble Apex Court shall govern the fate of petitions involving similar issue. He further submits that relief sought for by the petitioners in the instant petitions may also be considered as per the consequences of the order passed by the Hon’ble Apex Court in aforesaid SLP.
2. Considered the submission made by learned counsel for State and
3 also since despite repeated calls, no one turned up for the petitioners, in this circumstance, this Court is left with no other option except to dismiss the instant writ petitions for want of prosecution.
3. Accordingly, the instant writ petitions are dismissed for want of prosecution.
