THIS WRIT PETITION (CIVIL) HAVING COME UP FOR ADMISSION ON 07.04.2025, THE COURT ON THE SAME DAY DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING: 2025:KER:29848 WP(C) No.4373 of 2025 3 JUDGMENT The petitioner purchased 2008 model MGV goods carrier Swaraj Mazda ZT bearing No.KL-40-A-9535 on 22.08.2024 from the 3 rd respondent for which tax was paid upto December 2024. The grievance of the petitioner is that the contribution towards the Kerala Motor Transport Workers’ Welfare Fund for the period from 01.01.2025 is not accepted by the 2 nd respondent. 2. This Court, by order dated 07.02.2025, directed the 2 nd respondent to accept the contribution towards the Kerala Motor Transport Workers’ Welfare Fund for the period from 22.08.2024. It was further ordered that on production of the receipt regarding payment of the said contribution, the 1 st respondent shall accept the motor vehicle tax in respect of vehicle No.KL-40-A-9535, subject to the result of the writ petition. 3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the contribution towards the Kerala Motor Transport Workers’ Welfare Fund for the period from 22.08.2024 has been paid and road tax has been accepted. Accordingly, nothing 2025:KER:29848 WP(C) No.4373 of 2025 4 survives to be considered in this writ petition. This writ petition is disposed of making it clear that the order dated 07.02.2025 shall operate only for the purpose of present quarter.
