Petitioner has been made an accused in connection with Manatu P.S. Case No. 26/2024, for the offence registered under sections 191(2)/ 191(3)/ 190/ 103(2)/ 61(2) of B.N.S, 2023 & Section 3 of the Prevention of witch (Daain) Practices Act, 2001, pending in the court of Ms. Ritu Kujur, learned J.M.F.C, Palamau. On 05.09.2024 at about 10:00 P.M., husband of the informant was murdered by named accused alongwith 10 to 12 unknown persons. The occurrence is said to have taken place because the accused persons believed that her husband practiced witch craft. It was submitted that the petitioner is not named in the FIR. It was further submitted that nothing incriminating has been recovered on his pointing out. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that the clothes, which the petitioner was wearing was recovered from the place of occurrence. However, there were no blood stains on it. Regard being had to the facts and circumstance of the case, the petitioner named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Ms. Ritu Kujur, learned J.M.F.C, Palamau or her successor in connection with Manatu P.S.
