The petitioners are aggrieved by the inaction of the second respondent in taking steps against respondents 3 and 4, who are alleged to have occupied municipal land earmarked for the construction of public toilets. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned standing counsel for the Corporation, appearing for the 2nd respondent. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that with respect to the subject matter, earlier the petitioners have filed W.P. No.5802 of 2020, which was disposed of with liberty to the authorities to take action in accordance with law. Pursuant to that order, the 2nd respondent had issued notices to respondents 3 and 4 directing them to vacate the premises on the ground that it belongs to the municipality. Aggrieved by these notices, respondents 3 and 4 filed W.P.No.21224 of 2021, in which the impugned notices were set aside, but liberty was granted to the authorities to initiate appropriate proceedings in accordance with law. -3- W.P. The learned counsel further submits that the property of the petitioners is abutting the land which is under the illegal occupation of respondents 3 and 4. In that regard, the petitioners have submitted a representation dated 01.08.2025 requesting immediate action. 5. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent, on written instructions, submits that respondents 3 and 4 are in illegal occupation of municipal property and have been evading the notices issued by the authorities under the guise of paying applicable taxes to the municipality. It is further submitted that the municipality is in the process of initiating proceedings to evict respondents 3 and 4 by following due process of law. It is also submitted that the father of respondents 3 and 4 had executed a gift deed by mentioning a wrong survey number and that subsequently, the 4th respondent obtained a loan from the A.P. State Housing Corporation under the BLC scheme. It is submitted that appropriate steps would be taken for reclaiming the land belonging to the Municipality. 6. Recording the submissions of the learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent, the present writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, directing the respondents authority to take -4- W.P.
