Today, none has appeared on behalf of learned counsel for the parties. 2. On the last date of hearing, i.e. 21.10.2024, Mr. Gourav Kashyap, Advocate, had appeared on behalf of the respondent; however, he submitted that he had no instructions in the matter. Consequently, notice was directed to be issued to the parties. 3. As per the report of the Registry, the notices issued to the parties, i.e. the appellant and the respondent, have been received back with the report that both have died. Since the appeal pertains to the year 1996 and, as per the report of the Registry, both the appellant and the respondent have expired, and there is no representation on behalf of any counsel for either side, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the appeal pending. 4. Accordingly, the appeal is dismissed for non-prosecution. 5.
