The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Barhait P.S. Case No. 50 of 2025, for the offence registered under Sections 21(C) & 22 of the NDPS Act and Sections 23, 27 & 28A of Drugs and Cosmetic Act, pending in the court of learned Sessions Judge, Sahibganj. On 13.03.2025, on the basis of confidential information, Barhait Police raided the hut of the petitioner. On search, commercial quantities of cough syrups were recovered, which were buried under the ground. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the hut does not belong to the petitioner. Learned Spl.P.P. on behalf of the State has pointed out towards the specific averment made in the self-statement of the informant that the hut, in question, belonged to this petitioner. In view of the aforesaid fact, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected. (Ambuj Nath, J.) 09th October, 2025 BS/-
