(ORAL) The instant petition has been filed under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.0002 dated 06.01.202 Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Sadar Morinda Rupnagar. On 12.03.2025, the petitioner had been granted interim anticipatory bail with direction to join investigation and the relevant part of the said order reads as under: - “Learned counsel for the petitioner, inter alia, contends that the petitioner, who is a retired bank official, was no doubt, suspended during his service, however, it is also a matter of record that the entire amount misappropriated by the petiti had already been deposited with the bank along with interest. Learned counsel has submitted that the only allegation, which remains against the petitioner is of having lowered the image of the bank on account of the alleged misappropriation.
