Neutral Citation No. (2025:JHHC:31810) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 7013 of 2025 Brother-in-law of Victim … Petitioner - Versus - The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party ------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Ramesh Kumar, Advocate : Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Advocate For the State : Mr. Nawin Kr. Singh, A.P.P. For the Informant : Mr. Tarun Kumar Mahto, Advocate --- 03/14.10.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Purvi Tundi P.S. Case No. 21 of 2025, for the offences registered under Sections 61(2), 64(1), 81, 85, 109(1), 117(2), 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023. Chargesheet has been submitted under Sections 64(2)(f) and 64(2)(m) of the B.N.S., pending in the court of Ms. Satyabhama Kumari, learned J. M., 1st Class, Dhanbad. Petitioner happens to be the brother-in-law of the informant, who is the widow lady. On the pretext of marriage, petitioner established physical relationship with the prosecutrix. It appears that petitioner was already a married man. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the informant was very well aware that the petitioner was married from before. Mr. Tarun Kumar Mahto, learned counsel for the informant has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail. Considering the nature of allegation, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Ms. Satyabhama Kumari, learned J. M., 1st Class, Dhanbad, in connection with Purvi Tundi P.S. Case No. 21 of 2025. (Ambuj Nath, J.) October 14, 2025 Jay/-
