Vaibhav Suppal, learned counsel for the petitioner and vide order dated 04.06.2025 service of notice on respondent is held sufficient. 2. The petitioner is before this Court with the following prayers: i. Direct expeditious disposal of C.C.No.115/2015 pending before the Karnataka State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, Bangalore, within 03 months of the order passed by this Hon'ble Court; and ii. Pass such other orders as deemed fit in the facts and circumstances of the case in the interest of justice and equity. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:19910-DB WP No. 25572 of 2024 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner filed consumer complaint No.115/2015 before the Karnataka State Consumer Redressal Commission (for short 'Commission') on 23.04.2015 and the respondent appeared and said to have filed its version on 08.01.2016. Thereafter, it is stated that the petitioner as well as the respondent lead their evidence. The Commission is stated to have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner on main complaint and as the respondent failed to appear, the case was posted for orders on 27.06.2022. But it is the grievance of the petitioner that no final orders are passed till today. Hence, he is before this Court seeking for a direction to the Commission to dispose of the consumer complaint within a time frame. 4. Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the complaint shall be disposed of within a time frame with certain exceptions. 5. In the instant case, as submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner, recording of evidence is completed in the year 2022 itself. Thereafter the complaint was also posted for orders, but the orders are not passed as submitted by the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:19910-DB WP No. 25572 of 2024 learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner also submits that C.C.No.115/2015 now has been posted to 07.08.2025. 6. In the above circumstances, the following: ORDER (i) Writ petition stands disposed of. (ii) The Commission is requested to take up the matter for hearing on the next date i.e., on 07.08.2025 and dispose of the complaint forthwith.
