2025:JHHC:36575 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B. A. No. 11282 of 2025 ----- Chandan Kumar, S/o Anant Lal Nayak, R/o Village and P.O. Chirudih, P.S. Nawadih, Distt. Bokaro, Jharkhand … …. Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand … …. Opp. Party ----- CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE GAUTAM KUMAR CHOUDHARY ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Sanjeet Nayak, Advocate For the State : Mr. Rakesh Kr. Sinha, A.P.P. ----- Oral Order 02 / Dated : 05.12.2025 Heard learned counsel for the parties. The petitioner named above has been made accused in connection with Chutia P.S. Case No. 151 of 2022 (S.T. No. 886 of 2022) for the offence registered under Sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of Additional Judicial Commissioner-III, Ranchi. Earlier the prayer for bail of this petitioner was rejected thrice by this Court on merit and the prayer for bail of the petitioner is being renewed on the ground that the petitioner is languishing in jail custody for more than three and half years. Out of fifteen charge-sheeted witnesses, only ten have been examined. Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail. Considering the nature of offence and stage of trial, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected again.
