Side) O R D E R This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.364 of 2024 to any other Investigating Agency. 2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed on record. 3. The petitioner's son fell in love with a girl and thereafter on 24.04.2024, he committed suicide by hanging himself in the petitioner's agricultural land. Based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the second respondent registered a case in Crime No. 364 of 2024 under Section 174 of the Cr.P.C. There is no evidence to suggest that the petitioner or any other individual abetted his son's suicide or had any involvement in the incident. Page 2 of 6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's son had fallen in love with one Savitha, who resides in Karaikudi . Under the pretext of marriage, the petitioner's son had sexual intercourse with her as such, she became pregnant and when she compelled the petitioner's son to marry her, he refused. Therefore, the said Savitha lodged a complaint and CSR No263 of 2024 was issued by the All Women Police Station, Karaikudi. When the petitioner's son called for enquiry, he committed suicide in his own land by hanging himself. Further, investigation is almost completed. 4. Considering the facts and circumstance of the case, this Court is not inclined to transfer the investigation in Crime No.269 of 2022 from the file of the second respondent to any other agencies as it would adversely affect the work already done by the second respondent..
However, this Court directs the second respondent to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Page 3 of 6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
