By the present Writ Petition, the Petitioner who has retired from the post of Principal, Swami Atmanand English Medium School, Sakti, District Janjgir-Champa on 30/06/2023, is seeking a directions towards the respondents’ authorities to payment of unpaid amount of GPF, gratuity, leave encashment and other retiral dues payable to him. 2. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions, would submit that 80% of the pension amount has already been released to the petitioner. However, as far as other retiral dues is concerned, the District Education Officer has repeatedly requested the petitioner to appear before his office for settlement of the grievance of the petitioner, so that retiral dues and pension be released to the petitioner finally, but the petitioner is not cooperating. She would next submit that if the petitioner will cooperate with the District Education Officer, the retiral dues of the petitioner will be settled finally in accordance with law within a period of 3 months. 3. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the pleadings as well as contention of the counsel for the respondent/State. 4. On perusal of the pleadings as well as contention made by the counsel for the parties, it is quite vivid that the District Education Officer, on several occasions, has requested the petitioner to appear before his office for settlement of his retiral dues, but the petitioner has not approached to him. 5. Hence, the Petitioner is directed to approach before the District Education officer within a period of 15 days from today and if the 3 petitioner approaches to District Education Officer, he shall settle the retiral dues of the petitioner payable to him in accordance with law, within a further period of 30 days from the date of his appearance before him. 6.
