IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 431 of 2025 ------- Ajit Kumar Yadav @ Lalu Yadav, aged about 30 years, son of Late Naresh Yadav, resident of village Dibha Muhalla, P.O. & P.S. Chatra Sadar, District Chatra. …... …. Petitioner(s) Versus The State of Jharkhand .…. …. Opp. Party -------- CORAM : HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH -------- For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. R. S. Mazumdar, Sr. Advocate For the State : Mr. Shailesh Kr. Sinha, A.P.P. For the Informant : Mr. Vikram Singh, Advocate -------- 03/ Dated 12.03.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Chatra Sadar P.S. Case No. 29 of 2023, for the offence registered under Sections 302/201/34 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chatra. On 14.02.2023 at about 7:00 p.m, the son of the informant left his house with the named accused persons alongwith the petitioner and thereafter, he went missing. On 15.02.2023, his dead body was found from a place near Turag Forest. Suspicion has been raised upon the named accused persons including the petitioner that they might have committed the murder of the deceased. Learned counsel for the informant has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail. It appears that similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by the Coordinate Bench of this Court. Considering the fact that apart from suspicion, there is no other material against the petitioner on record, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chatra, in connection with Chatra Sadar P.S. Case No. 29 of 2023. (Ambuj Nath, J.) BS/-
