2. The petitioners have filed this petition seeking for the following reliefs:
“10.1 That, this Hon'ble court may kindly be pleased to allow the writ petition and direct the respondents to consider stop the process of enquiry in the light of the
order passed by the Upper secretary dt 27/11/2017. 10.2 That the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to make an order/orders, writ/writs or direction/ directions about to consider the case of the petitioners and not to pass such orders of termination and further enquiry. 10.3 Any other relief, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper, may also be passed in favor of the petitioner together with cost of the petition.”

Upon perusal of the petition, it appears that at the relevant time, the petitioners were working in the Forest Department as Contingency Paid Employee and later on, their services were regularized. It appears that an enquiry was going on against the petitioners and by filing this petition, the petitioners have sought a direction to the respondents to stop the proceedings of the enquiry pursuant to the order passed by the Additional Secretary dated
27.11.2017.
4. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions, would submit that the pending enquiry against the petitioners has already been concluded and thus, the petition has become infructuous.
5. Taking into consideration the submission made by learned counsel for the State, the petition is disposed of, as the enquiry pending against the petitioners has already been concluded. However, the petitioners would be at liberty to revive their prayer if the cause of
3 action survives.
6. Accordingly, this petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Sd/-
