JUSTICE NARENDRA SINGH DHADDHA [2025:RJ-JP:9031] (2 of 2) [CW-1081/2025] Order 03/03/2025 Learned counsel for the petitioner wants to withdraw this Civil Writ Petition. However, he submits that the suit for eviction and recovery of rent filed by the petitioner was decreed in his favour. Thereafter, on an appeal filed by the respondents, the appellate court stayed the operation and execution of the judgment and decree passed by the trial court. The appeal has not yet been decided by the appellate court and the pendency of the appeal is causing grave prejudice to the petitioner. He prays that a direction may be given to the appellate court to decide the appeal expeditiously. The Civil Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the appellate court is directed to decide the appeal expeditiously, and if possible, within a year from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.
