The instant petition has been filed under Article 226 read with Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 for issuing directions to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner, who apprehend threat at the hands of private respondents. 2. Short reply by way of an affidavit of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Faridkot, District Faridkot on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 in compliance of orders dated 17.03.2025 and 01.05.2025 passed by this Court, has been filed in the Registry of this Court and the same is taken on record. Learned State counsel has submitted that the grievance of the petitioner has been looked into by the official respondents and appropriate steps taken in the said regard. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the instructions received by the learned State counsel, however, it was only pursuant to the filing of the instant case that the said steps had been initiated and taken against the private respondents. 4.
