1. In the present petition, the petitioner is praying for direction to the respondents to provide compassionate appointment to the petitioner on account of death of her husband namely, Sh.Nand Singh. It is also prayed that the remaining retiral benefits should also be released to the petitioner, alongwith 18% interest.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that after the death of the petitioner's husband, petitioner submitted an application seeking compassionate appointment. However, no decision has been taken by the respondents in this regard. It is also submitted that in fact a legal notice was served on 01.09.2024 (Annexure P-6) which has also not been decided till date.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, she will be satisfied if a direction be given to respondent No.2 to decide the legal notice dated 01.09.2024 RIMPAL RANI 2025.04.02 18.26 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-6572-2025 :2: (Annexure P-6), by passing an appropriate speaking order in a time bound manner.

5. Mr. Karmanbir Singh Kharbanda, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondents and does not object to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the legal notice dated 01.09.2024 (Annexure P- 6), within a period of 02 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order by passing a speaking order in accordance with law.
