JUSTICE ANIRUDDHA P. MAYEE Date : 02/05/2025 ORAL ORDER 1. RULE. Learned Assistant Government Pleader waives service of notice of Rule for and on behalf of the respondents. 2. After some submissions, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner may be permitted to file fresh application for arms licence and the authorities may not take into consideration the orders passed in respect of the renewal of the licence of the petitioner and the same may be decided on its own merits within the stipulated time. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader submits that in case the petitioner prefers fresh application, the same shall be decided on its own merits in accordance with law. 4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the petitioner is directed to make a fresh application to the respondent No.2 within a period of ONE WEEK from today. On receipt of such C/SCA/5995/2025 ORDER DATED: 02/05/2025 application, the respondent No.2 shall decide the same on its own merits in accordance with law, without taking into consideration the orders dated 28.12.2020 and 12.2.2025. The application shall be decided within a period of SIX WEEKS after giving due hearing to the petitioner. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case and no opinion is expressed thereon. 6.
